Sun spots.

Here on the west coast it has been abnormally warm with plenty of interferance in picking up transmissions of whatever variety. The cell phone fades out, and radios (including the WWW) are affected.

On the plus side, my organic cantelopes are doing quite well with the heat. A bit worried about my skin though...

with a global majority (of scientists: Suzuki, et al.) in agreement over the human exaserbation of climate change, there can be no doubt that the activity of the sun can only make it worse.

From a report in the Georgia Straight, claim has been made that we've reached the apex of petroleum output. For the next fourty years we will be sucking crude out of the desert until it is spent.

Ramifications on the other side would be paradyme. Whether the scientific community can come up with our old standby remains to be seen. Back to putting newspaper in the garbage cans; there will be no more plastic.

All this is, of course, biding time. Eventually the planet will be blasted by a red sun, and this old greenhouse will sink into the twilight of universality.

A good reason to diversify. Go west young clone!
